Comment Policy

Most of us have seen comments in blogs and forums that go too far: personal attacks, profanity, off-topic posts, and spam.  I certainly don’t want that in my blog.  Initially, I was hesitant to create a comment policy. However, I have become more convinced that it is necessary.  I am putting it into effect in advance of any problems.

Here is my policy:

  • Comments are moderated.
  • Anonymous comments are allowed, but the use of a consistent screen name is encouraged.
  • Overly profane or nasty comments will be removed.
  • Personal attacks are not allowed.
  • No spam.
  • Please keep comments relevant to the topic being discussed.

Ultimately, it’s my blog.  If you feel my comment policy is too restrictive, I encourage you to contact me. Or, you can always start your own blog.

I want this blog to be a conversation.  I have no intention to stifle discussion, but I may have to take action on occasion to keep the conversation respectful.  If I disapprove or remove a comment, I will do my best to let the commenter know why.

It is possible that some comments may be filtered out automatically as spam.  Please let me know if you think that is the case with your comments.  If you have any difficulty getting your comments approved or have any questions, please contact me.

Happy discussions!

  • Welcome!

I believe that we desperately need to hear the stories of Ordinary Citizens who make a difference in our lives, our communities and our world.

    Why not be Ordinary?

    Why not make a difference?

Why not be Ordinary AND make a difference?
