Rock ’em Sock ’em Bro-bots

I dragged my journalist assistants out in the April drizzle today. We journeyed to downtown Albany to talk to a group of Quakers as they participated in their weekly peace vigil. My assistants weren’t all that interested in the vigil. But they were well-behaved.

As a reward, we did lunch at McD’s inside the Empire State Plaza followed by a trip to the New York State Museum for a ride on their restored carousel. Always fun.

Ready for some ups and downs.

Yeah. It spins while the carousel spins.

Then we discovered Canstruction. It’s a design competition that uses cans as the building blocks for some pretty cool exhibits. Officially, it doesn’t open until tomorrow, but it looked like it was fairly complete. The cans themselves will be donated to local food pantries upon completion of the exhibition.

My personal favorite: “Rock ’em, Sock ’em Canbots.”

The Bro-bots loved ’em, too.

Daddy said we CAN hit each other!

  2. You have, what would most likely be voted, the most adorable journalist assistants. ever.

    • Thanks Debbi! They are very patient with their Daddy when he’s working on school assignments. I’m very blessed!
