Halloween 2010. It was the best!

I don’t think I’ve enjoyed Halloween in previous years as much as I did last week.  I didn’t even put on a costume.  But I did get to put out lights, decorate and carve numerous pumpkins, and best of all… I built a robot. Costume that is.  For my two-year old.  I called it the “Dynamic Autonomous Nano-bot.”  The D.A.N.  For my son Danny.  Yup, I’m a geek.

We even got pranked, and we enjoyed it.  Our church youth group sells prank insurance.  For a mere five bucks, they’ll come over and clean up if your house gets pranked on Halloween.  ‘Course, they also do some of their own good-natured pranking.  Surprise, surprise… we found ourselves the target this year.  Fortunately, we’d bought our insurance, and the evidence was all cleaned up the next day.

All in all, it was a great Halloween.  But I don’t feel much like writing about it.  So, here are the pics:

And here’s a video that I created about the robot costume.  (I used it as an opportunity to learn more about iMovie, especially since I’ll be using that in my journalism class.)  I had a blast creating the video.  Enjoy:

Ahhhhhh.  Halloween 2010:  you were definitely fun.

But I’m not ready for Christmas.
